A planned power outage is required as Avista performs infrastructure upgrades on Oct. 31
Spokane, Wash. Oct. 18, 2018: Avista is performing upgrades to their transmission and distribution infrastructure near Long Lake. Approximately 475 customers in Long Lake, Ford, Wellpinit, Nine Mile Falls and Tumtum will experience an outage starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 12:00 p.m. on Oct. 31. Customers who will be impacted by the outage will be notified.
The planned power outage is necessary while Avista line crews upgrade equipment on their transmission and distribution power poles serving those areas. No road closures are expected during the planned outage.
Avista is continually updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of their system.
“We understand that being without power creates hardships, and we thank impacted customers for their patience as we work to restore their power as quickly and safely as possible,” said Kelly Donohue, Avista’s manager of operations for Davenport.
